A Rope to Connect Classrooms throughout the World for Global Read Aloud 2023

Rumsey's Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Pre-Primes classes are once again participating in Pernille Ripp's The Global Read Aloud. The featured picture book author for 2023 is Jacqueline Woodson. Week 5's featured book was This is the Rope. Mrs. DiLorenzo thought it would be fun to create a video in Canva where a rope could connect any other classes participating in GRA '23. Students were shocked at how many other classes ended up adding their This is the Rope videos to their Canva video file! At a time when the world is experiencing division, classrooms throughout the country/world are connecting virtually through the power of picture books. View the video here.
